Refund policy

General

Voltloop Inc provides a 30 day return policy. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we are not obligated to offer you a refund or exchange.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Certain products may have specific conditions and exclusions that differ from general return policies. These may include, but are not limited to, restrictions on the type of item, its condition, proof of purchase and the reason for return. It is important to review the specific conditions and exclusions for our product categories listed below in sections 1 & 2 before making a purchase.

Proof of Purchase

Customers must produce their invoice or other proof of purchase so that we can honour the warranty.

Returns of merchandise (Restocking)

Returns of new merchandise (restocking) are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Items on special order cannot be returned and/or the order cancelled once shipped from the manufacturer (final sale).  Purchases picked up at our physical locations must be returned to that location or shipped to our head office at buyer’s expense.  Purchases made online, must be sent back to our head office, at buyer's expense. Before returning merchandise, it is necessary to obtain a ‘return merchandise authorizations’ from your Voltloop Inc. representative.  This can be done through contacting us at info@voltloop.ca.

1. Batteries

Due to the restrictions from our manufacturer, most batteries are exempt from returns, due to the nature of the product and limitations in verifying that it is in an unused condition. We cannot accept used batteries, damaged batteries, tampered with, abused batteries, and or batteries that have been misused resulting in low voltage. This also applies to sales and special order items. Items deemed to be fault or defective can be returned through the proper warranty procedures.

Voltloop Inc. assumes no liability for damage caused by:

  • Improper connection and/or use, including any improper modifications to the battery.
  • Damage to the device and/or device parts due to mechanical impact or overcharging.
  • Use of the device for purposes not specified by the manufacturer’s manual.
  • Damage resulting from unintended or improper use and/or defective batteries.
  • Humidity, temperature and/or insufficient ventilation.
  • Improper and unauthorized opening of the battery box.

Warranty Period

The warranty is provided by the manufacturer unless otherwise stated. Please review individual warranties in the manual or at the product page. The warranty for a battery may not cover batteries that have reached their normal end of life before the end of the warranty period. The life of a battery varies depending on factors such as the type of battery, its usage, and the device it powers. It is important to understand the expected life of the battery before purchasing a product, so that you are aware of the potential for the battery to fail outside of the warranty period. Additionally, it is important to read the terms and conditions of the warranty carefully to understand what is covered and what is not.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Careless or abusive use, including rusted and/or damaged posts
  • Over discharge & overcharged batteries
  • Frozen batteries
  • Sulfated plates
  • Introduction of chemicals or other products
  • Use for an application that requires a more powerful battery
  • Damaged and/or deformed battery box including damaged or erased manufacturing code
  • Unauthorized modification
  • Accidents leading to physical damage that results in explosion or fire

Starter Batteries

Starter batteries come with a limited warranty for their CCA.  This warranty does not cover batteries that have reached their normal end of life before the end of the warranty period. This includes batteries that are already dead or sulfated, batteries that have short-circuited, batteries with improperly maintained connection posts or terminals, and batteries that have exploded (eg. due to overaccumulation of hydrogen around the battery, set off by a spark, arc, static electricity or heat source).

Deep-Cycle Batteries

Deep-Cycle batteries have a limited warranty on their reserve capacity.  This capacity naturally decreases with age. The warranty does not cover batteries that have reached their normal end of life before the end of the warranty period, or those that have been damaged due to inadequate maintenance, over discharging, too many charge/discharge cycles, short-circuiting, improper maintenance of connection posts or terminals, or explosions.

2. Charger, Jump-Starters and Accessories

The warranty is provided by the manufacturer and varies from item to item.  Please review individual warranties in the product manual and/or online at the product page. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage caused by:

  • Improper connection and/or use.
  • External force or damage to the device and/or device parts due to mechanical impact or overcharging.
  • Damage resulting from unintended or improper use and/or defective batteries.

The limited warranty is void if the unit has been opened or tampered with, if its terminal connections were reversed (reverse polarity), if it was exposed to a damp environment and misused in any other manner.
